With the christmas holiday season just around the corner..... a friend asked me to make a christmas holiday dance mix and video for their christmas holiday party. After racking my brain I eventually settled on disneys paint the night parade as the ideal music for the paint the night holiday dance mix. The Paint the Night Parade is part of Disneyland's 60th Diamond Celebration, in commemoration of its 60th anniversary. This version of the parade utilizes over 1.5 million LED lights, special effects, and features 76 performers. The California version of the parade was inspired by the Main Street Electrical Parade. It is Disneyland's first all-LED parade. The parade lasts approximately 17 minutes.During the Diamond Celebration, the entire 24-hour event was streamed live via internet by the Disneyland Resort, including the premiere of Paint the Night parade on May 22, 2015. Like the Hong Kong version, the parade jointly features arrangements of Jean-Jacques Perrey and Gershon Kingsley's "Baroque Hoedown" and Owl City's "When Can I See You Again?". The sweeping instrumental version of “When You Wish Upon A Star” instantly transports you to Disney world or Disneyland. So too with the iconic Mickey Head logo , instantly recogniseable by its 3 circle shape . Mickey Mouse is an animated cartoon mouse created by Walt Disney in the year 1928. Mickey is, by far, The Walt Disney Company's most famous character and serves as the company's mascot. Mickey rapidly rose to the pinnacle of American culture, becoming the most popular cartoon character in the world . For over 86 years, he has signified The Walt Disney Company, animation, goodwill, fun, laughter, and most of all Walt Disney himself. It was said by Lillian Disney, his wife, that over the years, Mickey and Walt grew together and were mirrors of each other's personality. They both started off mischievous and cheeky, but as they grew older preferred to step out of the spotlight and observe others work their magic. President Jimmy Carter once said: "Mickey Mouse is the symbol of goodwill, surpassing all languages and cultures. When one sees Mickey Mouse, they see happiness." The famous "Mickey Head" or Mickey's 3-circle silhouette serves as the logo for most of Disney's subsidiary companies. Andy Warhol's portrait from The Art of Mickey Mouse used Warhol's famous pop art techniques on the classic mouse. Mickey is often cited as the world's most famous cartoon character Throughout the earlier years, Mickey's design held a close resemblance to Oswald, except for the ears, nose and tail. Disney designed Mickey's body out of circles in order to make the character simple to animate. Disney employees John Hench and Marc Davis believed that this design was part of Mickey's success as it made him more dynamic and appealing to audiences. Mickey's circular design is most noticeable in his ears, which in traditional animation, always appear circular no matter which way Mickey faces. This made Mickey easily recognizable to audiences and made his ears an unofficial personal trademark. Even today, the basic symbol Mickey Mouse is often used to represent Mickey including Hidden Mickeys. Walt Disney Pictures Pixar Buzz & Woody Intro Walt Disney Pictures Pixar Buzz & Woody Intro #Walt Disney Pictures Pixar Buzz & Woody Intro In Toy Story, Buzz Lightyear is first seen when given as a gift to Andy from his mother at his birthday party. Buzz (who is convinced that he is a real space ranger) quickly becomes Andy's favorite toy leaving Woody, a cowboy doll who used to hold this distinction, to develop animosity towards Buzz. The friction between Buzz and Woody is put aside at the end of the movie when they help each other escape from a child named Sid, who is fond of torturing toys. Buzz realized that he was a toy when he saw his TV advertisement in Sid's home and found out that he was "made in Taiwan". At first, Buzz is sad that he's a toy. But Woody later convinces him being a toy is good and Buzz regains his hope and he and Woody escape Sid's house, return to Andy and become friends. In Toy Story 2, Buzz must assume the leadership of the toy gang in order to rescue Woody, who is captured by a greedy toy collector named Al, who is intent on selling Woody to a museum in Japan. Buzz and the toys eventually rescue Woody along with two new toys, Jessie and Bullseye, who come to live in Andy's room along with all the other toys. And Buzz becomes smitten for Jessie. In Toy Story 3, Woody, Buzz, and the gang accidentally end up in a daycare center, where the leader of the toys is the evil Lotso. Buzz is caught spying, and turned back to "demo mode" where he thinks he is a real space ranger and turns against his friends, who later switch him to Spanish Mode and does not know English. This causes some confusion among the toys. Buzz turns back to his normal self after he nearly gets crushed by a television set in a garbage truck. After making their way back to Andy's house, Buzz, Woody, Jessie, and the other toys are given by Andy to a little girl named Bonnie. A Personal Disney Tribute to Walt Disney Walter E DIsney Roy E DIsney Richard M Sherman Robert B Sherman John Lasseter Walter Elias "Walt" Disney December 5, 1901 – December 15, 1966) was an American entrepreneur, cartoonist, animator, voice actor, and film producer. As a prominent figure within the American animation industry and throughout the world, he is regarded as a cultural icon, known for his influence and contributions to entertainment during the 20th century. As a Hollywood business mogul, he and his brother Roy O. Disney co-founded The Walt Disney Company. As an animator and entrepreneur, Disney was particularly noted as a filmmaker and a popular showman, as well as an innovator in animation and theme park design. He and his staff created numerous famous fictional characters including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy. Disney himself was the original voice for Mickey. During his lifetime, he received four honorary Academy Awards and won 22 Academy Awards from a total of 59 nominations, including a record of four in one year, giving him more awards and nominations than any other individual in history.
